SUMMARY:Lunch Lecture SRON: X-Ray Observatories
DESCRIPTION:Join us for SRON’s Lunch lecture 11th of March! \n  \nSRON’s mission is to bring about breakthroughs in international space research\, focusing on space science\, key-technology research\, and space-qualified instrument development. \nSince 1974\, the Netherlands has contributed to several X-ray observatories in Space\, like ANS\, BeppoSAX\, XMM-Newton\, Hitomi and XRISM. This talk\, given by Martin Grim\, will give a quick overview of those observatories with focus on the hardware contributions\, but the main scientific results be given also. The future of X-ray observatories and “what skill set does the space industry needs for the future” will be discussed also. \nFree lunch is provided to all attendees. Be sure to sign up before the 11th of March!
