Hi there! My name is Guusje, and I am one of the Commissioners of External Affairs for the 5th board of Artemis, together with my colleague Riccardo. I am in my first year of the MSc in Planetary Exploration at TU Delft. I am drawn here by my passion for studying Solar System bodies and beyond, but I also enjoy diving into theoretical physics and astronomy. Joining the board allows me to combine my love for new challenges and exploring different cultures, and I am confident that sharing our academic journeys benefits everyone.

As Commissioner of External Affairs, I play a vital role in connecting students, staff members, and professionals. I help organize events that inspire students, build on the foundations of previous boards, and strengthen our sense of community. During my bachelor’s, I was not very active in the study association, which made me realize how much I missed out on this sense of community. This has made me even more eager to organise events and continuously seek ways to improve education, communication, and student life.

Personally, I look forward to expanding my network in the space industry, while also guiding other students to explore opportunities beyond the curriculum. With my curiosity, drive, and creativity, I strive to bring fresh energy and ideas to the team. Outside of my studies, I stay active through running, yoga, and hiking, and I often enjoy visiting museums.
